The residents of the Rivière-du-Loup MRC (RCM, regional county municipalities) are fortunate to be living in a high quality natural environment while benefiting from the services and vital commercial and cultural life of one of the major urban centers in Eastern Québec.

The town of Rivière-du-Loup is the principle service center of the K.R.T.B. territory (a grouping of the Kamouraska, Rivière-du-Loup, Témiscouata and Basques MRCs) in which nearly 90,000 people live. The territory’s commerce and manufacturing businesses, as well as the justice, healthcare, education, cultural and recreational institutions contribute to extend an influence that goes beyond its borders.
